CD Projekt RED Delays the Release of the Highly Anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3

Update on Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 Release

CD Projekt RED had initially planned to launch the highly anticipated Patch 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077 on June 26. However, the development team encountered unforeseen challenges that made the process more complex than expected. As a result, the update has been postponed indefinitely, leaving fans eager for new content and improvements.

Why the Delay?

According to Pavel Sasko, assistant to the game director, additional time is needed to refine the patch. He humorously commented, “It needs a little more time in the oven, my chums,” signaling that the developers are committed to delivering a polished and high-quality update.

What to Expect from the Next Update

Based on statements from the developers, the upcoming patch aims to match the quality of Patch 2.2, released last December. That update was well-received, introducing a range of enhancements including an improved photo mode, reworked vehicle customization, new character appearance options for V, a side quest referencing Balatro, and numerous other small tweaks and fixes.

Fan-Requested Features and Speculations

Among the features fans are hoping to see in the next update is the long-awaited New Game+ mode. Although CD Projekt RED previously expressed skepticism about implementing such a feature, player demand remains high, and there is hope that it will appear in future updates.

In other Cyberpunk 2077-related news, the creators of the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners announced that they will reveal something new soon. The team will be attending the Anime Expo in Los Angeles from July 3 to 6, likely unveiling upcoming projects or collaborations.

Cyberpunk 2 Sequel in Development

Additionally, it has been confirmed that the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 has entered pre-production. CD Projekt RED mentioned the project in their recent report, referring to it as Cyberpunk 2. However, this does not necessarily mean that the final game will retain that exact title.
